Europe's Journal of Psychology now Covered by new Web of Science Database

Europe's Journal of Psychology, published at the PsychOpen platform, has been accepted for coverage in the "Emerging Sources Citation Index" (ESCI), a new database within Thomson Reuters' Web of Science.

Thomson Reuters launched the Emerging Sources Citation Index in 2015 to "extend the universe of publications in Web of Science to include high-quality, peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields" (Thomson Reuters, 2015).

ESCI is designed to complement Thomson Reuters' highly selective indexes like the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) by providing earlier visibility for sources currently under evaluation as part of the more selective indices. All ESCI journals are indexed "according to the same data standards, including cover-to-cover indexing, cited reference indexing, subject category assignment, and indexing all authors and addresses" (Thomson Reuters, 2015).

We are pleased that EJOP is covered by the new ESCI index, providing greater discoverability of its content for the scientific community.
