EJOP Has a New Look

Europe's Journal of Psychology (EJOP) has had a relaunch. Not only the look is new.

"The biggest improvement, in my opinion, is the ease with which information can be found on the website", says EJOP editor-in-chief Vlad Glaveanu. "The second biggest improvement is the aesthetic aspect of it - to have a clear and strong visual identity by personalising a template that makes us part of the wider PsychOpen GOLD family of journals."

New is the visualization of how often an article has been downloaded and whether it has been quoted. Right at the starting page the five most-viewed and downloaded articles of the past 30 days are being displayed. Another new feature is displaying tweets.

Armin Günther, managing editor of the PsychOpen GOLD platform: "The new look is related to an update of the journal management system used by EJOP and other PsychOpen GOLD journals. The new system (OJS 3) will make it much easier for us to add advanced features to PsychOpen GOLD journals like publishing research data and other material related to an article." Additionally, the new system will make it much easier for authors, reviewers and editors to submit and manage articles throughout the publication process.

There is feedback already. Glaveanu says that: "Several handling editors appreciate the speed with which they can operate within the system and its rather intuitive nature.”

EJOP is a quarterly electronic publication of scientific psychology featuring original studies, research, critical contributions, interviews and book reviews.

EJOP is published at PsychOpen GOLD, the Open Access Publishing Platform for Psychology, provided by the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID), Trier, Germany.
